Gasparotto returns to Ton on emergency loan

We are delighted to announce that Falkirk defender Luca Gasparotto has this morning joined the club on an emergency loan until 3 January 2018.

The 22-year-old centre-half is well known to Morton supporters having spent the 2015/16 season at Cappielow on a temporary transfer from Rangers.

Luca impressed over the course of his time in Greenock, helping Jim Duffy’s men to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup and a fifth-placed finish on their return to the Championship.

An array of impresssive performances in Ton colours saw him nominated for the 2015 Canadian Soccer Association Under-20 Player of the Year as well as representing his country in Olympic qualifying.

Gasparotto, who made 23 starts and two substitute appearances in his solitary season on Sinclair Street, was also named in the full squad for a FIFA World Cup qualifying double header against Belize in September 2015.
