Centre-half Luca Gasparotto first joined the club on loan from Rangers in August 2015 and impressed over the course of the 2015/16 campaign.

His measured defensive displays helped Jim Duffy’s men to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup and a fifth-placed finish on the club’s return to the Championship.

An array of impresssive performances in Ton colours saw him nominated for the 2015 Canadian Soccer Association Under-20 Player of the Year as well as representing his country in Olympic qualifying.

Gasparotto, who made 23 starts and two substitute appearances in his solitary season on Sinclair Street, was also named in the full squad for a FIFA World Cup qualifying double header against Belize in September 2015.

On Tuesday 14 November 2017, the defender returned to the club for a second stint, joining on an emergency loan from Falkirk until 3 January 2018.

He made four starts before rejoining on a permanent basis after securing his release from the Bairns, with his new deal keeping him at Cappielow until 10 June 2018.
