Welcome to Morton, Joey O’Toole

Greenock Morton are pleased to announce the signing of Joey O’Toole following a successful trial period.

The 18-year-old midfielder arrives at Cappielow, signing his first professional deal until the summer of 2027.

Previously of Jersey Bulls, Joey came through the Jersey FA Performance Centre and was handed a trial by Ian Murray in January. Following a second trial period this pre-season, Joey impressed the coaching staff and has been rewarded with a one-year deal.

On today’s signing news, Ian Murray commented, “Joey first came in to train with us back in January, and he did really well. We invited him back for pre-season, and he’s continued to impress us with his attitude and the progress he’s made.

“He’s still a young player with plenty of development ahead of him. The plan is to continue working with him and, hopefully, get him out on loan to play regular first-team football. That experience will be really important for his development, and we’ll keep a close eye on him over the coming months.”
