Volunteers required for new ticketing system trial
As preparation for the full implementation of our new online and electronic ticketing system, the club have decided to hold a small-scale trial at Saturday’s Ladbrokes Championship fixture against Dumbarton here at Cappielow.
We are looking for volunteers to assist in testing the procedure, and supporters can do so by heading to the Morton online ticket office at http://greenockmortonfc.eventgenius.co.uk/ and purchasing a ticket.
These can be printed off at home or shown to the turnstile operator using a smartphone to display the barcode on the ticket. There is no requirement to pay 30p for an SMS as the normal printable version will be adequate.
Volunteers participating in the trial can only enter the ground via turnstile 1 at the main stand, where the operator will be in possession of the scanner required to validate their ticket.
Those supporters who wish to view the match from the Cowshed will be able to walk round via the Sinclair Street terracing after entering the ground.
As this is a scaled-down trial run, there are a limited number of 20 adult and 20 concession tickets available, with a maximum of two tickets per order.
If we are satisfied the trial has proven successful then there will be a larger test allocation available for our next home fixture, against Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday 17 September.
Volunteers should note that barcodes can only scan once, so duplicating tickets will prevent admittance to the match, while anyone who may have a cracked or damaged phone screen is recommended to print their ticket.
We also kindly ask that supporters testing the system fill out contact details as carefully as possible as we may wish contact them for their feedback.
