Ton drawn away to Celtic in Scottish Cup QF
We were tonight drawn away to holders Celtic in the quarter-finals of the William Hill Scottish Cup, with the tie scheduled to be played on the weekend of 3/4 March 2018.
The clubs were the first two pulled from the hat, setting up a rematch of a fixture played at Celtic Park at the same stage of the competition two years ago.
Ronny Deila’s Celtic side ran out comfortable 3-0 winners on 6 March 2016 thanks to first-half goals from Leigh Griffiths, Gary Mackay-Steven, and Callum McGregor.
The Ton did, however, record a shock 1-0 victory at Parkhead in the League Cup as recently as September 2013 when Dougie Imrie’s extra-time penalty saw the Cappielow club progress at the Glasgow giants’ expense.
The date of the tie and ticket information will be announced in due course.
The full draw was as follows:
Celtic v Morton
Aberdeen v Kilmarnock
Motherwell v Heart of Midlothian
Rangers v Falkirk
