Stephen Welsh Signs On Loan

Greenock Morton Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Stephen Welsh on loan from Celtic until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has progressed through the ranks at Celtic, becoming a regular feature for the side’s development squad.

David Hopkin moved to bring the defender to Cappielow and he put pen to paper at the ground this afternoon and is set to link up with his new Ton team-mates tomorrow evening against Inverness.

We can also announce that development squad players Ben Eardley and Kieran Brophy have joined Largs Thistle on loan until January. Both midfielders have been regular features for John Sutton’s reserve squad and were involved in the Development League West winning league side of 2017/18.
