After spells with the Hamilton and Aberdeen youth squads, Jai joined Morton in August 2015 as part of the Under-20s, helping them to win the 2015/16 Development League West title.

He signed an 18-month contract extension in December 2015, which runs to the end of 2016/17 season, and made his first-team debut as a late substitute against Raith Rovers in December 2015, followed by a further six appearances from the bench.

As of this term, he has forced his way into manager Jim Duffy’s senior and has started the season on fire as one of the team’s first-choice strikers, scoring goals against the likes of Kilmarnock, Hamilton, Dundee United and Queen of the South.
