Owen Moffat joins the Ton
Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of young forward, Owen Moffat on a two-year deal.
Starting his career in the Celtic Youth Academy, Owen spent a significant number of years with the Parkhead side which included an appearance in the 2021/22 League Cup final where he picked up a winner’s medal against Hibernian.
In 2022 Owen made the move south to Blackpool, initially signing a three-year deal with their development side. The 22-year-old forward spent the duration of last season on loan at Dunfermline Athletic giving him valuable experience in the league.
Subject to SFA and International clearance.
Manager Dougie Imrie added, “Owen is a very exciting and promising young player that I am thrilled to have onboard. I was keen to move quickly and secure his signature as soon as I heard of his departure from Blackpool, and he will offer pace and great technical ability to our attacking options.”
