OPEN DAY: Everything you need to know

An exciting opportunity for supporters will be take place on Sunday 28th July as we open our doors to show off what is new in Cappielow Park at our official open day.

The day kicks off at 11am with the Morton in the Community team leading the first set of games and activities which will include beat the goalie; a chance for Morton fans to beat their friends in the competition.

Season ticket holders with a drivers licence will be able to have their first glimpse of the car that will be contested in the draw for the car-for-a-year which will take place in just a few weeks time at the home game against Alloa Athletic on 10 August.

Supporters are asked to make their way into the main stand for 12:15pm where manager David Hopkin will say a few words before the open training session commences where both the first team and academy players will be put through their paces by assistant manager Anton McElhone, goalkeeping coach Dave Timmins and Reserves Coach and player John Sutton.

Afterwards, your favourite Ton players will be available to sign autographs and pose for photographs between 1pm and 2pm.

A rare opportunity will take place between 1.15pm and 2.30pm as you will be taken on a stadium tour to see all the work that has been done over the past few months with behind-the-scenes access guided by club hall of famer and kit manager Andy Bryan.

If you’re not on a stadium tour then you won’t be left out, we will stand have plenty of activities ongoing through the day with street games being played on Sinclair Street and many stalls to look at from our various sponsors including Millions, McTear’s Auctioneers, McGill’s Buses, Arnold Clark, Specsavers, Gleddoch House, Smith’s of Greenock, Inverclyde Leisure and many more.

For our supporters under the age of 12 there will be a chance to meet mascot Cappie the Cat as we launch or brand new Cappie Club membership scheme for our junior Ton fans.

We will also have our official merchandise van available for supporters to purchase the brand new away kit among other Morton goodies.

The day will conclude at 3pm and we hope that many Ton fans are able to make it and join in on everything that is going on during the day.
