New striker John Baird quickly came to the conclusion he is perfectly suited to Morton’s style of play after watching them beat parent club Inverness Caledonian Thistle from the stands last Saturday.
Baird, who made his debut against Livingston on Tuesday, spoke to media and communications officer Jonathan Mitchell after joining on loan from the Highland outfit.
He told of his excitement at having the opportunity to join the club and how, upon finding out about the move, he packed up his car immediately to get down to Inverclyde and train with his team-mates the next day.
The 32-year-old also talks about his feeling that he will fit in well with manager Jim Duffy’s ethos and admits that he didn’t realise how well his new team were doing until looking at the top end of the table after joining.
