Luca ready to be bandaged back up to face QoS

Luca Gasparotto is adamant stitches to a head wound won’t prevent him from turning out against Queen of the South and expects to be bandaged up again if selected to start tomorrow’s Ladbrokes Championship fixture.

Canadian centre-half Luca suffered a gash just above his left eye in a collision with Dumbarton defender Craig Barr and required treatment at half-time in last weekend’s Scottish Cup win over the Sons.

But he came back out for the second half wrapped in a Terry Butcher-style head dressing to complete the 90 minutes, and says it’s likely he will be required to do the same in order to face the Doonhmamers at Palmerston.

The 22-year-old also discusses the Ton’s fine defensive record, a previous meeting with Queens in Falkirk colours, the league table, and drawing Celtic in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.
