Langan signs six-month contract extension

We are pleased to announce that development squad skipper Ruaridh Langan has today signed a six-month contract extension to tie him to the club until 1 January 2018.

Greenock-born former St Stephen’s pupil Ruaridh progressed through our youth academy and, upon graduating from our Under-17s, signed a two-year professional deal in June 2015.

The midfielder captained the 17s to the inaugural Club Academy Scotland South-West league title in season 2014-15 and featured regulalry as Andy Millen’s men clinched the 2015/16 Development League West crown.

Although he is yet to make his top-team debut, Langan has been an unused substitute against Livingston two seasons ago and Falkirk and Dundee United in the campaign just passed.

The 18-year-old, who can also play in defence, having featuring right across the back four as well as in the engine room, joins fellow Under-20s regulars Jamie McGowan and Ben Armour in penning new deals.
