Lamie: We lacked urgency against Queens

Gutted defender Ricki Lamie has conceded there was an uncharacteristic lack of urgency in Morton’s efforts to push for the three points in Saturday’s massive Ladbrokes Championship fixture against Queen of the South.

The centre-half admitted that the Ton performance was flat as they lost 1-0 to the Doonhamers in a match that was pivotal to their promotion play-off hopes.

Although the defeat means the Sinclair Street side’s chances of finishing in the top four are slim to none, Lamie insists he won’t be giving up unless it’s impossible and will travel to Paisley for Saturday’s derby full of fight.
