Lamar Reynolds signs on a pre-contract agreement
Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of Lamar Reynolds on a pre-contract agreement.
The 28-year-old has agreed to a one-year deal until Summer 2025 and will officially join the club on the expiration of his contract at Maidstone United.
Born in Jamaica but moving to England at a young age, Lamar started his career at Barking and has since built up a wealth of experience south of the border, including spells at Newport County and Leyton Orient.
Part of Maidstone United’s successful FA Cup run, Reynolds scored the opening goal in their Fourth Round victory against Ipswich Town and assisted the match-winner as Maidstone completed a massive cup upset.
His goal against Ipswich Town would go on to win the Maidstone United Goal of the Season award and the FA Cup Goal of the Round.
Subject to international clearance and SFA approval.
On today’s announcement, Manager Dougie Imrie added, “I am delighted to welcome Lamar to Cappielow. He is an exciting player who brings a different style to the team with great pace and technical ability.
Lamar will be a great addition to the frontline, he’s a player that can make a difference across a number of attacking roles and I look forward to welcoming him to the club.”
