Jamie McGowan suffers dislocated shoulder
Goalkeeper Jamie McGowan suffered a dislocated shoulder in last night’s Development League West fixture against Queen’s Park, manager Jim Duffy has confirmed.
The 20-year-old shot-stopper, who is currently on loan at junior outfit Troon, suffered the injury as he overstretched attempting to claim a cross late in the game against the Spiders.
He was unable to continue, meaning midfielder Ruaridh Langan had to see out the game between the sticks, and later had to have his shoulder popped back into place at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
McGowan is not thought to have suffered any other significant damage but is scheduled to visit the fracture clinic tomorrow morning to have this confirmed.
Speaking to gmfc.net, gaffer Duffy said: “Young Jamie McGowan, unfortunately dislocated his shoulder in the rerserve game against Queen’s Park and that’s disappointing.”
