Denny Johnstone reckons a strong home record will be critical to Morton’s success this term and hopes to preserve their unbeaten start to the season at Cappielow when Dunfermline Athletic come to town on Saturday
The Ton are unbeaten on home turf in all competitions, recording Betfred Cup wins against Stenhousemuir and Albion Rovers before drawing with Queen of the South and beating Ross County on league duty.
Striker Johnstone, 23, says the squad are both aware of that fact and intent on stretching the run by claiming a positive result against the Pars.
He also talks away fixtures against Partick Thistle and Dundee United, his chance at Tannadice, the appointment of Jonatan Johansson as manager and being coached by a former forward for the first time.
