Duffy: Ton put in an unbelievable effort at Celtic

Manager Jim Duffy told media officer Jonathan Mitchell he felt his players put in an unbelievable effort against a top-class Celtic side in Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final tie.

Although he expressed a disappointment at ultimately losing the match 3-0, the Ton boss reckons his side were terrific in the first half at Parkhead and just came up against a fantastic striker in Moussa Dembele.

Duffy also discusses the penalty decision that resulted in the crucial second goal, stating that his first instinct was that the foul took place outside the box before having that suspicion confirmed by television footage.
