Christopher Wylie signs until 2021

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Christopher Wylie has signed a full-time contract with the club until June 2021.

The 18-year-old signed as an amateur in the summer and has been a regular feature for John Sutton’s reserve side this season as well as appearing on the bench for the first team towards the start of the season.

Goalkeeping coach Dave Timmins is delighted to have Chris signed up and has no doubt that he will continue to work hard and impress as a future number 1.

Speaking to gmfc.net,Timmins said: “This is a great signing for us because it’s clear that Chris has huge potential as a goalkeeper.

“We’ve had him in training with the first team and he’s been exceptional so it’s nice to see him being rewarded with a contract at the club.

“His attitude is phenomenal, he works extremely hard and he is desperate to succeed so with a mindset like that then it’s brilliant to have him onboard until 2021.”

We can also announce that winger Billy King has today terminated his contract with the club through mutual consent. Billy made a total of 7 appearances during his time at the club and we thank him for his efforts playing in a Ton jersey and wish him the best for the future.
