Buchanan admits header didn’t cross line

Defender Gregor Buchanan thought he had scored his first goal in 14 months and earned Morton three points away at Ayr United until former Dunfermline Athletic team-mate Michael Moffat popped up to clear on the post.

Although the 28-year-old would have loved to have got on the scoresheet on Saturday, he confessed that although it was close, it was actually a good clearance by his former Pars pal.

Buchanan also talks keeping a clean sheet against a side who had scored eight goals against them over the two previous meetings, and the red card incident in which Craig Moore kicked out at him.
