Blair Docherty joins local club Largs on loan

Development squad midfielder Blair Docherty has today joined West Region Premiership junior outfit Largs Thistle on loan until 1 January 2019.

Greenock-born Blair joined our youth academy at Under-15 level after departing Rangers in February 2014 and spent two seasons at Under-17s.

The 19-year-old wideman then made the step up to Andy Millen’s development squad in the summer of 2016 and earned a two-year, full-time deal in January 2017.

After struggling with injury last term, Largs lad Docherty, who can still turn out for John Sutton’s reserves, was keen to gain valuable first-team experience and could feature in tomorrow’s fixture away to Hurlford.
