Serbia v Montenegro kick-off brought forward

Kick-off in today’s UEFA European Under-17 Championship elite round qualifying match between Serbia and Montenegro here at Cappielow has been moved to 4pm.

The final round of fixtures had been set for 5pm but due to the electrical issue with one of our floodlight towers, the decision has been made to bring the games forward by an hour.

Last Friday Serbia scored twice right at the death to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat in their meeting with Switzerland here at the ground.

The Swiss then completed a similar smash and grab on Sunday, scoring three goals in stoppage time to beat Montenegro 3-1.

Today’s match sees two independent countries that once made up a single nation-state go head-to-head here on Sinclair Street, with both teams still in with a chance of qualifying for the finals tournament in Croatia in May.

Admission to all matches is free. However, under-16s must be accompanied by one adult per four children.
