Kudus signs until end of the season

We are pleased to announce that striker Kudus Oyenuga has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Cappielow until the end of the current campaign.

Englishman Oyenuga originally signed a short-term deal with the club on 8 August 2016 following a successful trial stint in which he played in a friendly against junior outfit Kilbirnie Ladeside.

He made his debut as a second half substitute in a 1-1 home draw with Falkirk on 13 August, scored his first Morton goal against Dumbarton one week later and has gone on to make eight starts and nine substitute appearances, netting twice.

Jim Duffy recently offered the 23-year-old former Tottenham youth a contract until 10 June, which he signed prior to Saturday’s win over Queen of the South and has now been registered by the SFA.

The Ton gaffer told gmfc.net: “Kudus has done well for us. He’s played on the left and he’s played up front. We know he’s still got a bit to go and I’ve spoken to him about that and he’s willing to work at that, so we’ve continued his deal to the end of the season.

“We need a little bit more composure off him in the final third and that alertness, but in terms of his work ethic, his physicality and his attitude, he’s been terrific.”
