Away Fans Guide: Bellsdale Park

Beith Juniors versus Morton

William Hill Scottish Cup, third round

Saturday 26 November 2016 | 1.30pm kick-off

By John Malcolm

The Morton support will enter the ground by designated and signposted entry points and have been allocated the terracing behind the goal on the uncovered west side of the park, and the covered section of the south side, up to the away dugout. There is no seating at Bellsdale Park.

Wheelchair users and their carers enter via Beith’s main gate. Users pay but carers are free. This is a mixed area and is not under cover.

The stadium opens at 12.30pm, but for those who arrive early, the Smugglers Tavern and Eglinton Bar will both welcome Morton supporters pre-match. This is a non segregated environment.

As this is a competition played under the SFA rules, the usual ground regulations apply and failure to comply with any of the regulations may result in either being refused entry or being ejected.

Please check the weather before setting out. Remember much of the ground is open and no seating is available, arrive early where possible and enjoy the occasion.

Prices

Entry is pay at the gate and prices are: £12 for adults and £6 for concessions. One entry point is for exact change only, so if possible bring exact cash and entry to the ground will be much quicker.

Travel

Travel by Road: The quickest route will probably be via the M8 to St James then the A737 to Beith. On entering Beith, take the first right into Roebank Road, continue into Wilson Street B7049 then turn right into Reform Street, which runs into Mains Road.

If you intend to use the A78 to Largs then via Kilbirnie to Beith, works on the A78 between Skelmorlie and Largs may cause some delay to your journey. The Largs to Kilbirnie Road A760 is also prone to suffering the effects of the winter weather.

Travel by Rail: The nearest railway stations to Beith are either Glengarnock or Lochwinnoch. Both involve a taxi journey to reach the venue. If travelling from Greenock by train, change at Paisley Gilmour Street.

Parking

Car and bus parking is in Mains Road and the post code for those using sat nav is KA15 2AP.

Supporters buses can park free of charge in the bus garage of Marbill Coaches. A second car park next to the bus Park and part of Marbill Travel is available for cars at a charge of £3 per car. Blue badge holders are free.

There is three to five minute walk to the ground from the parking facilities. Please be advised that no car parking is available at the ground. For those not wishing to use the off-road parking available, please park with consideration for local residents.
