The Ryan MacDonald Number 9 Tournament
On Saturday the 14th May 2022, we will welcome the family and friends of Ryan MacDonald to Cappielow to celebrate his life through football.
His close friend Marty Campbell has been instrumental in organising the event and you can hear more about Ryan by clicking here.
This special day will consist of some of Ryan’s former team mates from Greenock Juniors, Port Glasgow Juniors, Arthurlie, Petershill, Johnstone Burgh and Neilston who will compete across groups including two teams of friends and family. The day will conclude with a final and winner being crowned.

After the football, friends and family will come together in the lounges to reminisce, and celebrate Ryan’s life.
This event is delivered in partnership with Man On! Inverclyde and money raised will allow both Morton in the Community and Man On! To deliver key projects across Inverclyde. You can support the event by donating on Just Giving or by supporting and bidding for our auction items through Givergy.
The event will kick off at 12pm with Port Glasgow Boys Club and Morton in the Community playing 7v7s followed by a dance routine by Lorraine Blue Dancing.
Spectators are encouraged and entry will be by donation, doors open at 11:30am.
