David Hopkin Named As Manager of the Month

David Hopkin scooped a prestigious award today as the Ton boss was named as the Ladbrokes Championship Manager of the Month for February.

The Sinclair Street side were in fantastic form throughout the month, keeping their unbeaten record going in the league which included a tremendous 2-1 win victory over Ayr United and a magnificent 4-0 win against Queen of the South.

A judging panel have decided that the Greenock gaffer was deserving of this individual accolade which was received at Cappielow today.

Speaking exclusively to gmfc.net, the manager showed his appreciation and commended his coaching staff and players for their efforts.

He said: “Whilst this award has been given to me, it really is a joint award shared between the coaching staff of Anton McElhone and Dave Timmins as well as the great effort from the entire squad.

“We’re building something at Cappielow and this award is recognition of where we are in the rebuilding process.”
