Welcome to Morton, Morgan Boyes

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of defender Morgan Boyes on a one-year deal.

The 23-year-old joins the club following the expiration of his contract at Livingston this Summer and made his first appearance in Morton colours this afternoon as a second-half substitute against Annan Athletic.

Morgan is a product of the Liverpool Youth Academy having made his way through numerous age groups before being handed his debut in December 2019. During his time at Anfield, Morgan also won the FA Youth Cup in the 2018/19 season, beating Man City in the final.

The Welsh defender would join Livingston in 2022, making 23 appearances in his first season in the Scottish Premiership, scoring once against Motherwell. Morgan spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Inverness C.T making 33 appearances for the Highland side with two goals to his name, one of which came in the last game of the Championship season against the Ton.

Morgan also joins with international experience having played at a range of levels with Wales.
