U-20s GK Farrell signs extension; Hayes departs
Development squad goalkeeper Daniel Farrell has today penned a contract extension that will keep him at Cappielow until 10 June 2018.
The 18-year-old former Rutherglen Glencairn shot-stopper signed for the club after impressing Darren Barr during a trial stint, including an eye-catching showing in the SPFL showcase.
Although Farrell (pictured, above right) appeared in a couple of friendly fixtures, he suffered a knee injury before the Development League West season started and is yet to make a competitive appearance.
However, he has now returned to full training, and Under-20s boss Barr has handed the teenager a deal until the end of the campaign.
Meanwhile, left-sided former Dumbarton youth player Cameron Hayes (pictured, above left) has been allowed to leave after his contract expired on 1 January.
Hayes made six starts and five substitute appearances in his time with the Under-20s. We thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future.
