Tomi Adeloye Signs for the Ton

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of Tomi Adeloye on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old striker joins the club for the final 15 matches of the season and could make his debut tomorrow afternoon in the first home match of 2025 against Airdrieonians.

Tomi first came through the youth ranks at Charlton and Milwall before making the move to Stoke City in 2014. The striker spent time in English non-league with a number of clubs before a move north of the border came in 2021 as he signed for Ayr United. In his time at Somerset Park, Tomi scored 14 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions also picking up 4 assists. Following a standout season in Ayr, Tomi moved back to England with Swindon Town.

Joining Partick Thistle on loan from Swindon for the 2023/24 season, Tomi went on to score 8 goals in 21 league appearances, averaging a goal every 58 minutes in the Championship that season.

On today’s announcement, Manager Dougie Imrie commented: “I am over the moon to finally have Tomi signed. He is a player I have been after for over a year now and his record in this league speaks for itself.”

“This is a top signing for the club during an important time in the season and he is a player who will add even more quality to the frontline. Myself, the Chairman and the Board have spent a lot of time getting this deal over the line and I would like to thank them for their backing.”
