Stevie Chalmers (1935-2019)

Everyone at Greenock Morton Football Club was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Stevie Chalmers at the age of 83.

Stevie, who famously scored the winning goal for Celtic in the 1967 European Cup final, spent season 1971/72 at Cappielow, scoring 11 goals in 39 appearances for the Ton in all competitions.

Our sympathies and condolences go out to his family and friends at this profoundly sad time.
