Sam Murdoch Called up to Scotland U19s International Camp

Greenock Morton are delighted to confirm that Sam Murdoch has been called up for this month’s Scotland U19s Training Camp.

The 17-year-old goalkeeper has received the call-up following a strong end to the season, having played the final 3 matches of our William Hill Championship campaign, picking up 2 clean sheets and an assist!

It has been a hugely successful season for the Ton youngster as he spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Port Glasgow Juniors, securing promotion to the West of Scotland Third Division before being called upon to make his professional debut in a 1-0 win away to Airdrieonians, assisting the winning goal!

Sam would make two more appearances to end the season, picking up another clean sheet in the season’s final game and making a handful of important saves in those matches against Raith Rovers and Dunfermline Athletic.

As a product of Morton in the Community teams and the Morton Youth Academy, the club are thrilled to see Sam receive this well-deserved call-up and we wish him the very best during his time with the national team.

Congratulations, Sam!
