Ross: I was trying to score from corner kick

Winger Frank Ross is not only adamant Morton’s last-gasp equaliser against Dundee United was his goal but has also insisted it was his intention to score direct from the corner.

The Aberdeen loanee whipped over the 93rd-minute flag-kick that earned the Ton a precious point against their play-off rivals after the ball brushed off the head off Billy King and crashed into the net off the crossbar.

Afterwards, Ross claimed his name should go down on the scoresheet because the set-piece was on target and also explained he has a history of netting from corners.
