Railway Bridge Closure at Cappielow

Essential maintenance will be taking place on the rail line and bridge outside Cappielow which could last up to 11 weeks affecting access to the stadium on matchdays.

Network Rail will be carrying out this work starting in February through to mid-April which will include the closure of the bridge outside the main entrance to Cappielow with no access to vehicles or pedestrians.

Vehicles and pedestrians will be unable to drive or walk under the bridge to access the stadium or Sinclair Street and will have to find an alternative route for access. The easiest and most efficient being to cross at Cartsdyke, then walking along East Hamilton Street.

We have been in discussion with Network Rail for a number of weeks and although frustrating, it is clear that this work is required for the safety of the rail line and the bridge.

During this time there will also be a restriction on car parking spaces in the top car park on matchday, due to a section of the land being utilised by Network Rail and their contractors for carrying out the works.
