Paul Farren Appointed as Stadium Director

Greenock Morton Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Farren, Director of ASSIST Design Architects, to the club’s board as Stadium Director.

Paul brings extensive experience in community-focused development through his leadership at ASSIST, one of Scotland’s leading practices in social sector building design and refurbishment. The firm is renowned for placing people at the heart of every project and has been recognised in the RIBA Guide to Localism: Getting Community Engagement Right for its exemplary work in stakeholder collaboration and community-focused development.

A lifelong supporter of the club, Paul credits positive experiences with Save the Ton and the Greenock Morton Supporters Trust as formative in his early career path leading to a successful twenty-four years delivering community design based construction projects, new build and refurbishment, for many dozens of social sector clients including charities, social enterprises and community organisations.
 
In his role as Stadium Director, Paul will support the ongoing repair, maintenance and development of Cappielow Park and its facilities to ensure that future improvements reflect the club’s values of sustainability, inclusivity, and long-term community benefit.

Growing up in Greenock, I understand the important role Morton plays in our community, and I look forward to using my architectural experience to help improve facilities at Cappielow. Morton has given me so many memories over the years, and I’m delighted to be able to give something back in this new capacity.”
