Morton Women reach League Cup final

Morton Women’s senior side booked their place in the SWFL Division 2 Cup final with a resounding 4-1 win over Pollok United at Newlandsfield Park on Sunday.

Goals from Laura Darroch, Caitlin McKee, Hannah McGeehan, and Rachael McConnachie saw the Ton ladies set up a date with destiny against Dryburgh Athletic on Friday 31 May at Spartans’ Ainslie Park.

Coach Gary Forbes said: “I was delighted with the result on Sunday and reaching the cup final after a very good performance from the girls. I’d also like to a wish speedy recovery to the Pollok Ladies player who had to go off injured.”
