Scene Setter
The Ton will look to start the new year off strong when hosting Ayr United at Cappielow Park supported by Dalrada Technology tomorrow afternoon. Morton come into this match off the back of a double header against Raith Rovers with the most recent result ending in a draw. Ayr United will be looking to bounce back from two defeats in a row as the Somerset Park side come into this game following a defeat at home to Dundee.
Morton remain fourth in the table following that draw away to Raith Rovers, just two points behind tomorrow’s opposition with a game in hand. A win tomorrow could see the Ton move as high second depending on other results. Ayr United have dropped down to third following a couple losses after spending time at the top of the league and will be looking change recent luck and move back up the table.
The last time these two sides met it ended 1-1 at Somerset Park with Jai Quitongo scoring the important equaliser for Morton that day.
