Morton players support Rainbow Laces campaign

We were proud to support Stonewall Scotland’s Rainbow Laces campaign at Saturday’s Ladbrokes Championship fixture against Dunfermline Athletic.

Manager Jonatan Johansson wore a Rainbow Laces pin, Jim McAlister swapped his usual armband for a rainbow version, and a number of Ton aces wore special laces to stand as active allies of LGBT fans and players.

Speaking to media officer Jonathan Mitchell, Johansson said: “The Rainbow Laces campaign is one that is close to me because my wife is very active in supporting the LGBT community.

“I think it’s important for everybody, and us as a club, to be an active ally. Saturday was a chance for us to show our support for a great campaign from Stonewall.”
