Morton Community scoop Bees Knees award
Morton in the Community last night came out on top in the Excellence in Skills and Learning category at the 2017 Bees Knees awards ceremony.
The Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce-organised event is a celebration of local businesses, and our community team attended last night’s 14th annual function at the Chartroom in Inverkip after receiving a nomination.
They were selected as one of three finalists, alongside Holiday Inn and Welsh Walker, in a section that recognised excellence through the knowledge and skills of staff with a commitment to employee development.
After scooping the prize to add to their prestigious SFA Best Professional Club in the Community accolade, proud community development manager Brian McLaughlin dedicated the award to late coach Kris Juszczak.
He said: “We’re delighted to be recognised for our contribution to skills and learning. We have developed a coaching pathway to show all our coaches and volunteers a progression path within Morton in the Community.
“Our amazing coaches and volunteers work tirelessly every day in order to help all residents of Inverclyde progress under the Morton badge.
“And we would personally like to dedicate this award to Kris Juszczak, as he was a huge part of our presentation to West College Scotland.”
