After the Ton’s impressive unbeaten run of eight games came to an end against Inverness, attentions are now turned to potentially the final meeting of the season between Morton and Arbroath.
Morton have now only lost one game in nine in the league and will be hoping to use this stat to their advantage as they welcome Arbroath to Cappielow.
Fresh from his Manager of the Month accolade for February, David Hopkin will have an array of his players to choose from ahead of the match.
This will be the fourth meeting this season between the pair with the Ton winning all three points on two out of the three occasions in this season.
Dick Campbell’s men go into the game unbeaten in four with the team placed 6th in the Ladbrokes Championship, joint on points with the Ton.
Ton Connections
Former Morton goalkeeper Derek Gaston signed for Arbroath in the summer of 2019 after a successful career at Morton. Gaston made over 200 appearances and pulled off some memorable saves in his time, including a sensational save to deny a Stephen Dobbie effort against Queen of the South two seasons ago.
Bobby Linn was also signed by Morton in 2007 however only featured for Morton in 5 matches in his time at the club.
Luke Donnelly came to Cappielow on loan from Celtic in the second half of 2016/17 season, making seven appearances during this time. After departing Celtic, the forward played for Queen’s Park and Stranraer before making his move to Arbroath in January this year.
