Kian Taylor is the next summer signing

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of Kian Taylor, subject to international clearance and SFA approval.

The 20-year-old midfielder arrives at Cappielow on an initial one-year deal following his departure from Preston North End. Born and raised in Preston, Kian has spent all of his career at Deepdale, progressing through the youth ranks before signing his first professional contract in July 2023 and making his professional debut in a League Cup match against Salford just two weeks later.

Kian joined Altrincham in January this year on a one-month loan deal, scoring once in five appearances for the National League side.

Morton supporters may recognise Kian from short cameos in our opening pre-season matches against Annan Athletic and Queen of the South, scoring against Annan Athletic to help the Ton win 3-1 on the day.

Manager Dougie Imrie commented, “Kian is a young player with great potential who adds more competition to the midfield. We saw what Kian can offer in pre-season during his appearances against Annan Athletic and Queen of the South, and I am delighted to welcome him to Cappielow.”
