Kerr Robertson is the latest addition
Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of Kerr Robertson on an initial one-year deal.
Kerr has officially put pen to paper following a successful trial period with the club, impressing Manager Dougie Imrie through pre-season fixtures and the Premier Sports Cup.
Kerr has made an appearance in every pre-season game and Premier Sports Cup game so far, chipping in with an assist away to East Kilbride and Peterhead and putting in a number of promising performances.
The 19-year-old midfielder is a product of the Rangers Youth Academy, having made his way through the age groups and into last season’s Rangers B side. Kerr was part of the Rangers B side that made it to last season’s SPFL Trust Trophy Quarter-Final against Queen’s Park, and he can be deployed in several roles across midfield.
The club have received necessary SFA approval and Kerr will be available for selection in tonight’s match as an official Morton player.
Manager Dougie Imrie commented, “Kerr has impressed throughout pre-season and into the Premier Sports Cup, and I am delighted to have him now signed on permanently. He will add real versatility and competition to the midfield, and he has the potential to make a real impact on the team this coming season.”
