Manager Jonatan Johansson admitted he was happy to still be in the William Hill Scottish Cup after Saturday’s performance against Peterhead.
Ton hitman Bob McHugh cancelled out Scott Brown’s early opener as the the Greenock men shared a 1-1 draw with League Two Blue Toon at Cappielow.
A frustrated Johansson conceded his side didn’t play well enough on the day and that Jim McInally’s men deserved to take the third round tie back to Balmoor.
The Greenock gaffer says his players should view tomorrow night’s replay as a reprieve and take the second chance to progress to the fourth round.
