Jim Duffy: Saturday was ideal day in Inverness

Manager Jim Duffy says Saturday was an ideal day after his depleted side recorded the club’s first ever competitive victory away at Inverness Caledonian Thistle to move up to third in the Ladbrokes Championship.

As well as picking up a hard-earned three points thanks to goals from Scott Tiffoney and Gark Harkins, teenager Jack Purdue was handed his senior bow while Thomas O’Ware made his 200th appearance for the club.

Cappielow gaffer Duffy described it as an ‘oustanding result’, particularly due to the fact his injury-plagued side are in the midst of a significant run of away fixtures.
