James Storer joins on loan
Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the loan signing of James Storer from Wolverhampton Wanderers, subject to SFA approval and international clearance.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper joins the club on a season-long loan after progressing through the Wolves academy and was most recently on loan at Chester in the National League North, where he kept 9 clean sheets across 22 games and narrowly missed out on promotion in the play-offs.
James is also capped at U19 level for the Republic of Ireland.
Greenock Morton would like to thank Wolverhampton Wanderers, specifically Matt Jackson and Scott Bevan, for their support and efforts in allowing James’ loan to happen, and we look forward to building a strong relationship moving forward.
Dougie Imrie added, “James is a promising young goalkeeper who joins the club following a strong loan spell at Chester last season, and I am delighted to be able to welcome him to Cappielow. This move offers him a great platform and opportunity to progress, and I look forward to having him between the sticks this season.
I would also like to thank Wolverhampton Wanderers for trusting my coaching staff and I to be the right fit for the next stage of James’ development.”
