Funeral Arrangements for Douglas Rae OBE

I would like to begin by thanking everyone for all the social media messages, texts, emails, cards, flowers and letters of support that we have received over the past few days since my Father’s death.

The outpouring of sympathy has been overwhelming and of great comfort to our family. We are unable to express in words the gratitude that we have towards everyone concerned.

The funeral of my father, Douglas Rae OBE, will take place on Monday 2nd July at 1pm in the Lyle Kirk, Newark Street, Greenock for anyone wishing to attend.

As we are expecting a high number of attendees at this service, we would like to make our supporters aware of an alternative opportunity to pay their respects. It was my Father’s wish for his funeral cortege to pass by Cappielow and we will be passing up Sinclair Street at approximately 12.40pm on our way to the Church and would welcome any supporters who wanted to pay their respects in this way.

My Father will be hugely humbled by the reaction from everyone as he looks down upon us all. #Together
