Four Contract Extensions Confirmed

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce that Ali Crawford, Sam Murdoch, Grant Gillespie and Iain Wilson have all signed contract extensions with the club. 
 
Grant Gillespie 
 
Grant Gillespie has signed a new one-year deal until the summer of 2026, which will see the club captain enter his 4^th season at Cappielow. Grant recently reached the 100-game mark for the club and will look to continue adding to that total over the coming season. 
 
Ali Crawford 
 
The experienced midfielder extends his stay at Cappielow, where he has made just under 40 appearances across two spells at the club. During the 2024/25 season, Ali made 26 appearances, scoring twice. The 33-year-old also recently made his 450^th career appearance. 
 
This new deal will see Ali remain at the club until summer 2026. 
 
Iain Wilson 
 
Iain Wilson is the third player to sign a one-year contract extension until summer 2026. Over two spells at the club, Iain has made 73 appearances and has been a key player in the midfield. We are delighted to have Iain remain at Morton amidst interest from other clubs. 
 
Sam Murdoch 
 
We are delighted to confirm that Academy Graduate Sam Murdoch has signed a new deal that keeps him at Cappielow until 2027. 
 
The 17-year-old goalkeeper is coming off the back of a hugely successful season, having gained valuable experience and promotion with Port Glasgow Juniors before making his professional debut against Airdrieonians towards the end of the season. 
 
Sam has been with the club since he was 4 years old and has worked his way through different age groups associated with Morton in the Community and the Morton Youth Academy.  
 
Topping off his season, Sam also received a call-up to the Scotland U19s Training Camp at the end of May, another huge milestone for the goalkeeper at a very early stage of his career. 
 
We look forward to seeing Sam continue to develop as a Greenock Morton player.
