Farrell signs six-month contract extension

We are pleased to announce that development squad goalkeeper Daniel Farrell has today penned a six-month contract extension to tie him to the club until 31 December 2018.

The former Rutherglen Glencairn shot-stopper originally signed with our Under-20s last August after impressing during a trial stint.

Although Farrell appeared in two friendlies, he suffered a serious knee injury before the league season started and had to wait until the Scottish Youth Cup quarter-final against Hibs in December to make his debut.

The 18-year-old went on to make a further 11 league starts, helping the Ton teens to the Development League West title with some inspired displays and four clean sheets in the run-in.

And Farrell, who made a vital penalty save against Airdrie and produced an incredible performance in the final-day decider against Ayr United, has been rewarded with a new deal that runs until the end of the year.
