Eamonn Brophy signs for the Ton

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of Eamonn Brophy on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old arrives at Cappielow following his departure from Ross County earlier this afternoon.

Eamonn joins the club with a wealth of experience across several teams at the top level of Scottish football. Developing in the Celtic, Hibernian and Hamilton Academical youth academies, it was New Douglas Park where he would make his breakthrough into men’s football. Loan spells at Queen’s Park and Dumbarton then followed before a permanent move to Kilmarnock in 2017, a move where Eamonn would have his most success in the top flight.

Eamonn spent four years in Ayrshire, making 115 appearances, scoring 34 times, and in that time helped Kilmarnock to 5th and 3rd place finishes, also securing a spot in European qualifiers. The forward was also called up to represent his nation whilst at Rugby Park, going on to make his international debut in a European Qualifier against Cyprus.

Joining Ross County in 2023, Eamonn made 52 appearances in the Highlands, scoring on 8 occasions and assisting another 4. Most recently, Eamonn spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Falkirk.

Dougie Imrie commented on today’s news, adding, “Eamonn’s experience and record speaks for itself, he is a signing of real quality that will bolster our frontline even more and I am delighted to be able to welcome him to Cappielow.’

Bringing Eamonn on board is a testament to the fantastic support of Morton Club Together (MCT) members alongside principal sponsor Dalrada.
