Dylan Dykes sought out Morton opportunity

New signing Dylan Dykes has revealed that he actively sought out an opportunity with Morton by contacting manager Jonatan Johansson to request a trial.

The 22-year-old midfielder left former club Ross County by mutual consent on 31 December after two seasons with the Staggies.

Dykes then took it upon himself to reach out to former team-mate Reghan Tumilty to get in touch with Johansson and ask for an opportunity to train with the team at Parklea.

And his proactive approach was rewarded when the Ton boss, who was well aware of Dykes having watched him star for the Staggies second string in a 5-1 Reserve League win, offered him a deal after a successful trial stint.
