Duffy: We definitely merited more from derby

Manager Jim Duffy gives media officer Jonathan Mitchell his reaction to Saturday’s 2-1 loss to St Mirren at the Paisley 2021 Stadium and insists his side definitely merited at least a draw from the Renfrewshire derby.

But the Ton boss also identifies costly lapses in concentration, as well as a lack of goals, as the cause for the defeat and admits there have been far too many matches where these have proved costly over the season.

Duffy was delighted for Michael Doyle to score his first Morton goal in the game, praises the right-back’s defensive qualities, and his performances against Celtic-bound Saints winger Lewis Morgan.
