Dougie Imrie named Glen’s Championship Manager of the Month for January

Dougie Imrie has today been named the Glen’s Championship Manager of the Month for January 2024.

Guiding the Ton through an unbeaten month, Dougie Imrie’s side secured three wins and one draw in the cinch Championship, including a memorable 3-2 win on the road against Dundee United at Tannadice.

January was a month to remember as it started with a perfect hat-trick from Robbie Muirhead, followed by a perfect hat-trick from George Oakley just days later. Two perfect hat-tricks in a row and the first consecutive hat-tricks from Morton players in 57 years!

A draw at home against Partick Thistle was then followed by progression in the Scottish Cup and a convincing 3-0 win against Arbroath.

On receiving the award, Dougie said, “I would like to start by thanking Glen’s for this award, It is always a real honour to receive and is a reward for the hard work from the staff and players.

The run we are on is great and it’s a real testament to the character of my coaching staff and players, without their efforts this award wouldn’t be possible.”
